Cycle 1–30 September · day 22
Household overview
The overview as it arrives. Every row you can see is the same component in its other state, so the page lands exactly where the placeholder was standing.

How the placeholders are sized
Four rules, all of them the system's rather than this screen's
- Off the type, not by eye
- A bar is held open to one line of the type it replaces, so changing that type moves both states together.
- Off the real count
- Five envelopes, six payments, six ledger rows — the placeholder is drawn from the same array as the rows.
- In one component, not two
- Each row renders its bar or its content in the same wrapper. Nobody can edit the row and forget the placeholder.
- One region, one announcement
- Regions are marked busy as a group, so assistive tech hears the page load once rather than twenty separate boxes.
Nothing on this page moves when a region lands. Press Load again and watch any row you like — the bars and the type they stand in for occupy the same line box, so the fourth region arriving cannot push the first one down.
